I’m Karlitos, Le Petit Mutant, a man with a child’s heart. I’m a kind of Peter Pan, although few Peters can survive this dog’s life of ours. I could say that I’m living in Neverland and sometimes neither my family, friends nor society understand me. But that’s the way I am. If I had to define myself I would say I’m a cartoon character living in the real world.

I use my knowledge and creativity to escape from this weird world and to freely express myself.

Designing cartoons, films, animations, Vj, writing…Those are the things that make me feel happy, free and alive.

A not-so-long time ago, in a not-so-far-away place,… I used to be a Computer technician, but life is always surprising and I finally found happiness and peace of mind working in Art & Design (though I began to study Multimedia and Design in Barcelona only out of sheer curiosity). I spent a year in Berlin, trying to grow up, thinking about me and trying to find out ways to become a better human being. Back in Barcelona I started Film Direction and Entertainment, hoping someday I could make my own films and TV Shows. That brought me to this strange dimension called ‘The Short Films World’, and the synergy of Art and Video brought me to Video-Art. Finally I became a VJ. Along with some friends, we created an association called Videoïna, through which I worked for some discotheques and in some major events. We experimented with video and audio live performances. Later on, at Film school, some colleagues and I won an Advertisement Price and that made me wonder whether if I needed more studies or not. Unconvinced, I started Publicity and Public Relationship, but that felt kind of depressing to me, so I quit after accomplishing the first year. I had had some good teachers and made good friends, but I was mostly outcasted and misunderstood.

To sum up, here’s a short list of my professional background: I participated in the production of some short films, I created a TV show, I have also helped in designing many webpages, Interactive Cds, shows,… I have experience as a graphic designer, waiter, also cleaning dishes, teaching, programming, repairing computers, doing helpdesk, Net Administrator, and some more stuff.

Right now I’m searching something good for me, something special. A place where I can create with other people and enjoy creating stuff. In the meanwhile I open this new small space where I can express myself.
